Tariff

The house is open from early March until the end of November each year.

Tariff 2024
Effective from 1st March to 30th November 2024

Room rates are per room, per night inclusive of VAT at 20.0% and include a four course Dinner plus coffee and homemade truffles, room and a full Cumbrian Breakfast.

All ten bedrooms are either double or twin and some are suitable for families. Four have en-suite facilities the rest have their own private bathrooms.

1. En-suite room including dinner (based on 2 sharing)  £260.00
2. Room with Private Bathroom including dinner (Based on 2 sharing)  £250.00
3. En suite B&B Only (Based on 2 sharing)  £190.00
4. Room with Private Bathroom B&B Only (Based on 2 sharing) £180.00

4 Course Dinner followed by coffee & truffles can be booked for £40.00 per person. (Please book within 48 hours of arrival) 

Children's Tariff (Dinner B&B)
Children 12 years and over £110.00 per night.
Children 5-11 sharing a room with an adult £70.00 per night.
Children under 5 years sharing a room with an adult £40.00 per night.

Bookings
All bookings will be confirmed by return and a non-refundable deposit of £100.00 per person paid by either credit card or by Bank Transfer Visa, Mastercard, and Switch cards are accepted.

Group House Bookings
A minimum number of 16 persons is required for house exclusivity, If the group falls below the minimum number other bookings will be accepted

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival will be charged the full amount Cancellation of bookings in advance of 14 days may have their deposit transferred to a booking later in the same year, We Strongly recommend Travel Insurance to cover your booking.

Dining
Breakfast is served between 8.00 - 8.30am daily.
DINNER MUST BE PRE-BOOKED 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE IF BOOKED THROUGH BOOKING.COM dinner is a set menu served at 7.00pm with the exception of Tuesdays, when Dinner is not served, Alternatively a reservation can be made for you locally.

Arrival & Departures
Rooms are not guaranteed to be available until 2.00pm and departure is required by 10.00am. Any guest that wishes to arrive after 7pm should do so by arrangement, although unfortunately we are unable to provide hot meals after this time.

Dogs
We do allow well behaved dogs but they are not allowed in the public areas (Dining room, Teabar, Lounge and Library)
